Before weddings, I spent years photographing strangers on the street.
Fleeting gestures, odd light, ordinary moments that said something if you were paying attention. Weddings are full of the same things, just with better clothes, more champagne and a dance floor that should come with a warning label.
I photograph most of the day as it happens, and step in when direction helps, mainly for portraits. I'm not there to turn your wedding into a production. I'm there to notice it properly.

What I photograph
Three ways in
The wedding is the main event. An engagement shoot is the rehearsal, mostly for getting used to the camera and to me. Film runs through both.

Engagements
An hour or two somewhere you actually like. A field, a pub garden, the street where you met. No props required.

Film
35mm runs alongside digital at every wedding. Slower, grainier, and usually the frames people end up putting on the wall.
Most of it happens around the edges.
