Dive into my Story

Get to know me

Hey, My Name’s Keith Marrison

I’m an Oxford-based wedding photographer, and I’ve been capturing love stories since 2016. That’s nearly a decade of photographing first looks, confetti storms, teary vows, and questionable dance floor moves. In that time, I’ve learned one very important thing: weddings are beautiful chaos. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’m the guy who blends in like a guest with a camera—calm, friendly, and unflappable (even when a veil catches fire on a candelabra—yes, that happened). My job is to document your day as it unfolds, capturing all the big emotions, the little in-between moments, and everything in between. No forced poses, no awkward fake laughs—just real, honest wedding photography with an editorial edge.

Oxfordshire Weddings Are Something Special

I’m lucky enough to photograph weddings all over Oxfordshire, from the dreaming spires of Oxford to the rolling countryside of the Cotswolds. Whether you’re getting married in a historic Oxford college, a charming barn in the hills, or somewhere that means the world to you, I’ll be there, camera in hand, capturing it all.

Some of my favourite Oxfordshire wedding venues include:

🏛 Bodleian Library – Grand, historic, and full of literary charm.

🏡 Caswell House – Rustic, romantic, and perfect for golden-hour portraits.

🌳 Blenheim Palace – Majestic, sweeping views with a regal touch.

🌿 Tythe Barn – A countryside gem with buckets of character.

🏰 Oxford Town Hall – Iconic and elegant, right in the heart of the city.

If you’re planning a wedding in Oxford or anywhere in Oxfordshire, you’ll want a photographer who knows the area, understands the light, and won’t panic when it inevitably starts raining just before the ceremony.

Real Moments, Not Stiff Poses

My approach? Natural, documentary-style photography with a touch of editorial spice. That means I capture:

✔ The moments you expect—first looks, first kisses, first dances.

✔ The moments you don’t expect—granddad busting out dance moves from 1974.

✔ The quiet, in-between bits—the way your partner looks at you when you’re not watching.

The result? Timeless wedding photos that feel like you. The kind you’ll want to look at forever.

Let’s Chat

If you’re planning a wedding in Oxford, Oxfordshire, or anywhere nearby, I’d love to hear all about it. Let’s chat about your plans, your venue, and whether your nan’s planning to make a speech after a couple of proseccos.

Three Key Takeaways for Couples Looking for a Documentary Wedding Photographer in Oxfordshire

1. Real Moments > Staged Poses

Your wedding day isn’t a magazine shoot, and I’m not here to turn it into one. Documentary wedding photography means capturing your day exactly as it happens—candid, unfiltered, and full of emotion. From the big “I do” to the little hand squeezes and stolen glances, I focus on the real stuff. No stiff posing, no awkward “act natural” instructions—just honest, storytelling photography that actually feels like you.

2. Oxfordshire is a Documentary Photographer’s Dream

Whether you’re saying your vows in the grand halls of Oxford University, celebrating at a Cotswolds barn, or throwing a garden wedding at your family home, Oxfordshire is packed with stunning backdrops for documentary-style photography. Historic charm? Check. Rolling countryside? Check. Golden-hour light that makes everything look cinematic? Big check. Knowing how to work with Oxfordshire’s landscapes (and, let’s be real, its unpredictable weather) means you get natural, beautiful wedding photos without the stress.

3. Your Photographer Should Feel Like a Guest, Not a Director

If you want someone to bark instructions at you all day, I’m probably not your guy. I blend in, chat with your guests, and capture moments as they naturally unfold—without turning your wedding into a production. You’ll barely notice I’m there (until you see the gallery and wonder how I managed to catch so much magic). The goal? Photos that take you right back to how your wedding felt—not just how it looked.
